Wrap it up, Liverpool Street
Some of you may recall Wrap It Up (WIU) from Dragons Den, WIU is a halal gourmet wrap chain and it is expanding year on year. There are shops and kiosks located around Liverpool Street, Charing Cross, Bank, London bridge and a few others.
I have tried near enough everything and I would advise first timers to go for the hot wraps opposed to cold wraps. I must add that in the past few months there has been a couple of changes to WIU and now the mince beef has been replaced with steak which is much better. I can name a few good wrap shops which offer halal chicken options but no lamb/beef options.
My favourite is the Mexican club, in my opinion it would be the most ultimate wrap if it were served with refried beans. The Mexican club has chicken, beef, cos lettuce, salsa, guacamole, cheese and Caesar dressing. But there are so many options available at WIU, something to suit everyone.
Food – 4/5 – the quality and variety of food is good and the fact that everything is halal is huge bonus, as most wrap places simply offer a halal chicken option.
Service – 3.5/5 – Very friendly who are passionate about their food.
Value – 3.5/5 – large meal for £7.50, medium for £6.50, that’s good value for zone 1.
Venue – N/A – As it is a chain and most WIU’s are take away kiosks
SAS – 3.5/5 – gourmet fast food is on the up but there is not that many halal options, I would recommend you give WIU a go if you are around one of their chains.
