Tandis, Chalk Farm
Tandis is an Iranian restaurant located on a hill in chalk farm. I have come here several times and the quality of the food has not fluctuated. The mixed grill (sinyeh kabab) for 3 (shared between me and my brother) is reasonably priced at £38, cheaper than the likes of Alounak and sligohtly more expensive than Behesht. Everything juicy and cooked to perfection, the lamb tenderloin is incredible.
Food – 4/5 – this is the Iranian mixed grill to beat (* edit 4th of October 2014 – Sadaf now holds the crown of Iranian Mixed Grills)
Service – 4/5 – always very polite when I have gone
Value – 4/5 – around £20 per head for good quality food in a great location. It has a ‘Charming Restaurant’ award from Michelin.
SAS – 4/5 – this is been one of my restaurants I always consider when taking people out, good location and nice atmosphere inside.
