E1, Whitechapel

One of the busiest streets in East Load, off Whitechapel Road there is a cute little family run cafe which has one of the best ‘full English breakfasts’ you will ever get. And Oh my, the eggs benedict here is so on point. NB, I generally hate anyone preparing eggs but the hollandaise sauce is on point. Personally, this beats Meds even though my fellow, Sheikhy, may disagree with me on this one, but I’m standing my ground.

This simple, small cafe may look like a bit of greasy spoon joint but its food is surprisingly so delicately prepared and served. If you are in the area and hungry for a full English, this is THE place to go. Their food is general is also quite good. Lasagne and their soup of the day never really disappoints.

Tea is good quality and the fresh smoothie selection will spoil you for choice. Got a grilled halloumi salad once from here, set me back around 7 pounds but it was a BIG salad (in one of those doner kebab takeaway boxes) and was really yummy with a bit of a gourmet touch (something hard found in East London!). Salad had rocket, spinach, basil, pesto, olives, grilled halloumi and the other standard salad components.

And… 10% off for students. Why wouldn’t you grab some grub from here?
